A common mood disorder

Depression is a mood disorder and can cause persistent feelings of sadness and loss of interest.  It affects everything about an individual, how they feel, think and behave and can cause physical, emotional and psychological difficulties, and sometimes such feelings and thoughts can lead to people feeling that ‘life is just not worth living’.

You can’t really generalise how struggling to cope can make you feel, but if any of the following symptoms sound like you or someone else you know, TALK TO US, WE MAY BE ABLE TO HELP.  

  • Low energy levels, feeling tired
  • Feeling restless/agitated
  • Feeling emotional and tearful
  • Not wanting to talk/socialise with people
  • Lost interest in things you used to enjoy

  • Finding everyday life and difficulties extremely difficult to deal with

There is no ‘one size fit’s all’ treatment that cures depression.  The best way we can treat depression is to assess your personal needs and tailor treatment to your needs.

One-to-one therapy – Individual therapy takes place on a one-to-one basis, it helps to build a strong relationship with one therapist, and may help you to feed more information sharing some sensitive information, and you also get individualised attention.
